“This house was heaven. You welcomed me when I had no help, and took care of me and my baby. God will never forget what you have done. I wouldn’t be where I am today without your help.”

How we got our name

Elsie Alexander has made it her life’s work to show people their inherent worth. Every human life has value and all of us have something to contribute to the world!

While Elsie lived in Lethbridge from 1972 to 2007, she was a warrior for the rights of women and children, always sacrificing her time for those in need. Numerous boards and committees benefited from her leadership skills, humility, and willingness to serve. We are so honoured to name this space after her.
